Who manages my portfolio?
Royal Fidelity’s investment management team is responsible for the management of your portfolio(s). The team is deliberately set up to ensure that you have direct access to an investment manager responsible for the day-to-day management of your portfolio. We do not outsource any investment services.
Now that my funds are being professionally managed, do I still have control over my assets?
You have complete control over your assets at all times. Opening an IMA simply gives you direct access to a dedicated investment manager who not only acts as a guide, but who not only follows the IPS that was created with your input. The Manager at no time will act in a manner contrary to your wishes. If at any time you want to change something, a simple call to your Investment Manager will insure the necessary steps are implemented.
How are the fees for the account calculated and paid?
Royal Fidelity’s fees are based on the value of the assets under management and are paid in advance. Fees typically are paid from the income earned from the portfolio. However, we recognize that maximizing the performance of the investments is critical, and our fees are competitively priced to limit the impact on returns. With the array of services we provide, we have the ability to bundle our services under one fee and limit any additional charges that might otherwise be incurred.
The management fee covers the Investment Management Team’s ongoing management of your portfolio, including investment selection and allocation, any trading costs and commissions, the communications sent to you, and the personal service you receive.
Can I change my investment objective/risk profile at any time?
Yes. However, changes of this type usually occur only after a discussion with your investment manager, who will update your Investment Policy Statement (IPS) accordingly. Once you have reviewed and agreed to the revised IPS, the new investment objective/risk profile will be implemented across your portfolio.
Does Royal Fidelity compare returns to a benchmark?
Royal Fidelity measures performance relative to agreed benchmarks for all client portfolios.
